Plastic & Paper Check-out Bags

PLUSpak has been an established supplier of PE check-out bags to Australian supermarkets and major retailers over the last 2 decades. It specialises in the distribution of standard, recycled and degradable plastic bags and, more recently, has diversified into the supply of both general and deluxe paper shopping bags with die-cut, patch, loop or rigid handles.

In view of the recent Victorian Government announcement on levy imposition for single-use plastic bags beginning January 1, 2009, PLUSpak will also be involved in distributing bio-degradable plastic shopping bags, incorporating starch and other degradable additives, starting in the 4th quarter of 2006.

These bags are biodegradable and will convert to carbon dioxide and water when exposed to the appropriate environmental conditions for composting, photo degradation and heat.

"Super-Strong" PE Garbage Bags & Bin Liners

PLUSpak will pioneer the introduction of a new range of "super-strong" PE garbage bags (both clear and black) to Australian customers in 2006. These products are about 20-25% "thinner" in terms of gauge thickness, but still possess excellent mechanical strength and performance properties. The benefits of these products are cost reduction (in terms of raw material savings) and also contribute substantially to reduced waste to be dumped in our environment after they are used as packaging materials and disposed.

PE Pallet Wrap Films (Machine & Hand Wraps)

A wide range of "conventional" and pre-stretched quality wrap films is available for both hand & machine operations. Film thickness varies from 16 µm to 25 µm with running lengths from 300 meters to 1800 meters and film width 450 mm – 500 mm. The films are supplied in both clear or coloured forms.

"Special" wrap films are also available which are thinner but SUPER-STRONG. These film products designed to address the safety, environmental and operational concerns of our customers. These lightweight films guarantee packaging cost savings and yet are able to perform as a quality wrapping film product! These products reduce the overall quantities of plastics consumed for packaging and provide less disposed plastics as landfill waste!
